ENTRIES DUE: Sunday, October 15, 2017 - 1:00 - 6:00 PM Check-in of items
JUDGING OF ALL ITEMS:
Baked goods will not be returned. This class will not bedisplayed during the Fair. Photographs of entries will be taken during the judging, and will be displayed during the Fair. Baked goods will be donated to the volunteers.
FAIR OPENS TO THE PUBLIC: Friday, October 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM
ITEM PICK UP: Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 1:00 - 6:00 PM
IMPORTANT: Each exhibitor will receive an Entry Claim Check for each item entered into competition. The Entry Claim Check must be presented at the door for entry into the Commercial Exhibit Building on the pick-up date and entries will not be released to any individual without the Claim Check. Removal of exhibit prior to this time will be reason for forfeiture of any premiums awarded.
Please note that the Alachua County Fair Association is not responsible for articles not picked up during the specified times. Thank you for your cooperation.
Exhibits are open to all residents of Alachua County and surrounding counties.
Each exhibitor is limited to TWO entries in each lot number.
Each exhibit must be labeled with an entry tag provided at the Fairgrounds when entered. The Alachua County Fair Association and agents shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to exhibits. Reasonable care and security will be exercised to safeguard the articles left for display.
If entries are large and varied, new categories will be made at the discretion of the judges.
Al l entries will be judged on the Modified Danish system. No entry will be judged twice. The decision of the judges will be final.

The fair management reserves the right to reject or disqualify any exhibit unworthy of consideration. Entries must be in good condition.
Exhibits entered under the Home & Youth Division are for competition, and, are not to be advertised for sale by the exhibitor; nor shall the exhibitor enter any class in which he/she may be considered a “PROFESSIONAL”.
Premiums are paid according to the judges’ records and not by ribbons, as these could be attached in error or misplaced. ALL PREMIUM CHECKS MUST BE CASHED BY DECEMBER 31, 2017
All entries in Classes 1-8 must have been made since the prior year Alachua County Fair. Handmade articles must have been made by the exhibitor.
Trophies will be awarded by the judges to entrants (both Youth & Adult) as a Special Award for entries of exceptional merit. These trophies will be awarded to the top three entries.
Division A – Open to all persons 18 years of age or older as of October 28, 2017
Division B – Open to all persons 17 years of age or under as of October 28, 2017, or, to any person up to and including the 12th grade.
